GLOBAL FILM PROJECT (MARCH 21 - AUGUST 29, 2016)
Dancing Around The World is a global film project presented by DMo in association with ReiMoves. It has been created to stand up in the face of separatism by bringing people together through the unifying language of dance movement and remembering that which unites us not divides us!
Create a 5 minute (or less) film about you and dance The project calls upon people everywhere to capture and share a moving moment in your life story by creating a short dance video of 5 minutes or less. The video can be made in any style - movement-based, interview, experimental, meshing footage old and new, etc. as long as it features dance as a key storytelling element. Dance movement is borderless and timeless, existing for every age, culture and occasion, universally conveying feelings and stories in a way words are challenged to set free. So whether you dance professionally or just for fun, for tradition, fitness or sheer joy, we want to see how dance interpenetrates your life. |
Enter our global film project and you could be part of a historic feature film!
#DancingAroundTheWorld videos submitted are shortlisted and judged by an industry panel. Entry is free and selected submissions will have their short film appear as part of a collective feature length film called "Dancing Around The World". DMo and Monica Brunello of ReiMoves have collaborated on a short video to kickstart the project. Notable figures in the dance world will also join in the storytelling.
The project is open to anyone and kicks off on the first day of Spring, March 21st, 2016, with the deadline for submissions August 29th, 2016.
Here's your chance to dance the world closer together...so break out your moves and press record!
