Dancing Around The World: Technical Requirements & Guidelines
|
In the first instance, all Project Submissions are to be received via Twitter as a link to an online screener (YouTube/Vimeo/Dropbox, etc.) as per the Project's Terms and Conditions. If your Project Submission is selected as a winner, you will be required to fill out and send any forms requested, as well as a digital file of your film (via Dropbox/We Transfer, etc.) in alignment with the Technical Requirements & Guidelines outlined below. Any film not adhering to these requirements may be disqualified.
A. Film Format
Winning Submissions will need to provide their 5 minute (or less) film in the following format: Full HD (HD 1080p); MOV H.264 or MPEG-4 H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC); 25 fps; uncompressed audio; sound 48 MHz; sent as a digital file via Dropbox/We Transfer, etc.
B. Credits
C. Subtitles
If your film isn’t in English, please provide your video with English subtitles*. (*Send as srt file, as we need to be able to make font type/size uniform throughout film.)
D. Music
Please DO NOT provide a soundtrack score for your film. A special score will be composed for the feature in order to create unity for this style of project. However, music may be featured as an element within your film e.g. if a dancer is rehearsing to specific music during your film, or if a dancing group is performing to live instruments, etc. If music is featured in your film in this way, please note that you will be expected to own the copyright to it, or have permission to use it and be able to assign such rights (non-exclusively) to DMoArtWorlds. If this is not the case, DMoArtWorlds will not be able to use it and your film will end up being disqualified. If you are unsure of any of these points, please get in touch [email protected]
E. General Information
Any content featured in your film that requires permission to be used, needs to be accompanied with written proof that you own the copyright to or have the permission to use such content.
F. Additional Criteria
All films will need to include the following visual element: start and finish your film with your arm extended out in a reach. Participant must start and finish their film with a featured protagonist's arm extended out in a reach, so their hand begins off camera - start the film with the reach off middle left of screen and end the film with the reach off middle right of screen.
