LIVE ART
DMo LIVE ART looks at experimentation, participation and activation with interdisciplinary collaborations across exhibition, performance and theatre.
FEWG: SEEDLING
(2024) OUTDOOR DANCE THEATRE From Earth We Grow is a dance theatre piece from the choreographic repertoire of performer/choreographer Monica Brunello, that builds the tree of life in energy time. Monica, together with e20danza, presents the section of this work known as Seedling, in the enchanting outdoor setting of Romeo's Castle. DMo continues the long-time collaboration on this piece by directing the performance and creating an original soundwork containing a poetics piece expressing the work's themes of unity, the importance of Mother Earth, having roots, and growing from authenticity. Towards the end of the piece, the public are invited to participate by joining the roots as they extend towards the community. |

SEEDS OF INTENTION
(2023) OUTDOOR TAP XP Nestled in an Italian summertime gathering, with food, music and bocce, is the Seeds of Intention participatory installation, based on the understanding that our thoughts are like seeds. Bringing into consciousness the thoughts we repeatedly plant, we can consciously and mindfully plant thought seeds that allow our desired outcomes to germinate and grow. The outdoor installation features a Garden of Purposeful Thought ready for seeds of intention to be planted. In this supportive natural space people can take a moment to 'plant true desires' by focusing on something important to them - a desire, a need, a purpose, a disharmonious thought that can be transformed into a loving one - that they can turn into a focused intention, and initiate the making of its reality by planting it, both mentally in their mind garden and physically in Mother Earth. |

HMMM?
(2022) TAP XTRAVAGANZA HMMM? is a TAP Xtravaganza with the theme of 'Questioning'. This creative ménagerie shares a screening of the movement art video Three Words Project; live movement from the piece's dancers; video art projection from the digital art series Questions; release of the standalone artzine Questionmark; and participatory art playground revelling with a magic balloon wall TAP XP where attendees can hold a question and 'pop' the answer out from the balloons. HMMM? says 'let us creatively question', and encourages the exploring of a whole range of questions including 'have we lost our ability to question?'. Within the celebrations comes a creative way to remind us all of our ability and right to question, during a time when both these things feel on the brink of extinction. |

LAUGH-O-LUTION
(2020) TAP XP Laugh-o-lution is a TAP XP project that invites participants to laugh out loud through a creative exploration, contemplation and sharing of what makes us laugh. A 2-week residency period is being utilized by DMo and her collaborators to set up the art playground as three participatory activity stations that include: Station 1 featuring a Laughpit for riotous jumping and laughter, accompanied by a rock/techno/metal and laughter soundtrack; Station 2 featuring an installation made from hanging balloon and light strands, accompanied by a moving figure in a morphsuit, that encourages a wander through one’s Laughter Memoirs; and Station 3 featuring a local stand-up comedian and open mic opportunity. The project encourages laughter, as well as the contemplation of laughter in life - how it feels when it’s missing verses how it feels when it’s present; our ability to consciously use it to heal and bring feelings of happiness; awareness of what makes us laugh; and how it feels to make others laugh. As with every TAP XP event, it allows participants to creatively explore and immerse themselves as deeply as they choose to go, as well as create a deeper connection with their inner world, and in this case, hopefully experience a ‘laugh-o-lution’! |

SYMBOLOGY: MOVING THROUGH
(2018) TAP XP Symbology: moving through is a TAP XP presenting DMo's exploration of interconnection through specific symbology - elements of communication that allow people to go beyond what is known or seen - at the end of a 3-week residency period. The art playground is set up as a participatory installation of three activity stations - the first a movement station featuring local dancer Andonis Kouvalakis; the second a vocal station featuring a video projection and sound installation of binaural beats; the third station featuring symbol imagery with accompanying activity cards that correspond to exercise experiments. The presentation encourages participants to expand their awareness of subtler energetic exchanges happening in their self, their environment and universal connections via simple and playful means that are adaptable to a person’s personal vibe. |

The Prelude presents the beginning of life, using re-worked passages from the bible in spoken word and movement, serving as an introduction to themes of oneness, nature’s importance, having roots, and growing from authenticity, expressed in the main dance performance. |

PINKAFELD: URBAN PROVINCIAL
(2016) OUTDOOR DANCE THEATRE Pinkafeld: Urban Provincial is an outdoor dance performance happening in the main intersection of Pinkafeld in Burgenland, Austria. The performance delivers the culmination of a 2-week residency at D.ID, exploring the creative process in art and life led by DMo. The performance includes spoken word and dance movement, with performers weaving their choreography in an impromptu manner amongst passing traffic, both vehicle and pedestrian. The project creates an interesting juxtaposition of freestyle guerrilla creation in a town with strong links to Austria's nationalist right-wing. |
