ARTY EVENT
|
HMMM is an arty event that has been organized to launch the release of the standalone artzine Questionmark. The artzine's start point is questioning, and explores a whole range of questions including 'have we lost our ability to question?'. It is a creative way to remind us all of our ability and right to question, during a time when both these things feel on the brink of extinction.
The event is accompanied by a screening of the video art piece Three Words Project, which asked DMo and collaborators for a word that represented the sign of the times, resulting in the answers: justice, uncertainty, bond. Shot on a mobile phone at various iconic London landmarks, it is a project that incorporates movement, poetics narration and moving image to express the relationship between these words and the contrasts they can present in their own meanings...reflecting life itself. The screening for HMMM will be accompanied by the project's featured movement artists Monica Brunello and Sara Augieras, moving live in the space. |
The screening will be followed by a looping projection of artworks from DMo's latest series Questions. And in true playground style, there will be a magic balloon wall where the public can 'pop' an answer to a question they hold. Discourse, mingling, music and dancing will round out the evening.
