What do you think being creative means?
We all carry the spark of creation within us; we just have to search for it and let it flow. Everyone will feel the need to express themselves, always thinking about the common good.

How do you include creativity in your life?
Creativity manifests itself in a range of possibilities at different moments in our lives, especially when we need a path that leads us to personal fulfillment. To do so, we must always act with the thought that, in every act of our lives, we are contributing to finding a path that leads us to that lost unity, the sole purpose of our existence.

What are your thoughts on how your life has influenced your creative imagination, and how your creative imagination has influenced your life?
In my case, it all begins with the simplicity of my thoughts and my attitude toward life, despite the favorable or adverse circumstances that may arise. Furthermore, a deep interest in the mystery of life led me to read philosophers, religions, spiritual movements, and related texts. As long as our thoughts include kindness, humility, generosity, simplicity, and unity (the goal we must achieve), creativity will be present in different ways, manifesting that inner and outer mystery in which we live, and they are not separate from each other.

What, if any, exercises do you do to get into a creative mode?
I believe, in my case, it is always keeping my way of thinking in mind in the daily acts of living. It's as if I had the desire to paint and convey something. I stand in front of the canvas and begin to choose colours, mix them, and place them on the canvas, giving it a certain shape. But all of this happens without prior intellectual reasoning, like thinking I'm going to paint. I don't know. When I feel, when I look at it, that the painting is finished, I stop painting, and after observing it, searching for the name, it emerges on its own. This can happen at the moment or after a short time, but the interpretation I wanted to show, each observer will interpret it in their own way. They ask me what I wanted to interpret. The answer is straightforward, I don't know. Let each person interpret it according to their inner colours and their spiritual development, what they see and feel.

How important do you think creativity is in life?
Each of us brings our own built-in creativity, which encompasses every aspect of our daily lives. Each of us will have the responsibility to direct it toward the common good. We can also take the wrong path and use it for our own benefit and harm others. That is why we must increasingly seek the path of Unity in all our actions in life, trying to overcome the barriers that separate us.

About
Camilo Villanueva is an Argentinian artist who began painting at the age of 35. His paintings are characterized by the strong contrast of colours and their visual impact. The critics describe his works as follows: “Camilo Villanueva is a kind of alchemist who during the production of his work has access to an extra-ordinary state of consciousness which enables him to achieve his superior intention. Through his paintings, he generates energy, uplifts the subtle and precipitates the dense; thus penetrating in deep spiritual messages of love and unity”.

Villanueva’s paintings are exceptional mandalas which can be used as doors to the cosmic elements that transmute the soul into something higher to discover the key to its evolution. When we access Camilo’s paintings, sort of holograms in which each part holds the information of totality, we are offered the opportunity to enrich our spirit, discover the unseen and feel one with the Creation. Deeply moved by the inner world and artistic career of Xul Solar, he studied painting at the Romulo Raggio museum in Vicente Lopez, Province of Buenos Aires. He specialized in the theory and practice of colour such as it is manifest in his work.

In Buenos Aires he exhibited in Patio Bullrich a renowned art and commercial centre, the Sheraton Hotel, the Conquistador Hotel, the Argentine Rural Society, La Maja art gallery, Babilonia art gallery, the Argentine Association of Transpersonal Psychology and was then invited by this association to exhibit in various congresses using the theme “a different artist for a different  public”. In the 90s he was invited by a cable television company, Cablevision, to participate with his paintings in several art programmes.

From 1997 to 2010 he lived in the Calamuchita Valley, in the province of Cordoba, where he had the opportunity to produce greatly and exhibit in numerous places, such as Posta el Sauce art gallery in Villa General Belgrano and Arteempresa art gallery in the city of Cordoba. After that and already settled back in Buenos Aires, he presented his work in various art galleries in the CABA and in international hotels. In May 2010, he participated in Paris, invited by Espacio Escarlata, with three of his paintings, in the Art Centre La Bellvillose located in the Parisian traditional neighbourhood of Bellville. At present many of his paintings are exhibited in art portals of different countries of the world and are part of private collections in the United States and Australia.
